Baylor College of Medicine, dedicated to creating knowledge and applying science and discoveries to further education, healthcare and community service, was established more than a century ago. It became fully independent from Baylor in 1969 and is now located in the world’s largest medical complex, Texas Medical Center in Houston. The College of Medicine aims to prepare the next generation of biomedical and health science leaders through its medical training and other educational offerings. With more than 1,200 physicians who provide clinical care to patients in facilities across the Texas Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine was named in the top 10 Best Medical Schools for Primary Care and Pediatrics by U.S. News & World Reports. There are currently more than 700 medical students and 800+ graduate and allied health students at the medical school. Baylor’s 10-year Best Minds, Best Medicine Campaign raised over one billion dollars, 74% of which came from first-time donors.

The Opportunity

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement to partner with the President/CEO to achieve the vision of sustainable philanthropic resources for the school. In this newly created role, the Senior Vice President will be responsible for establishing strategic priorities and providing leadership for the Development and Alumni Affairs, Marketing, Corporate Relations, and Government Affairs & Policy Departments. This highly experienced fundraising professional will help ensure the long-term funding to support the school’s priorities of expanded academic programs, increased student scholarships and faculty support, and infrastructure and facility improvement and expansion.
