The Opportunity

The new Assistant Vice President for College Advancement (AVP) will help advancement colleagues innovate, designing cross-cutting programs that add value to the lives of Bates alumni – on campus, regionally, nationally, and virtually. Targeting the College’s ambitious engagement goals during the current Bates Campaign, the AVP will be an expert at marshalling resources in ways that will benefit alumni of all ages and stages. Serving as the chief alumni engagement officer for the College, the AVP will guide and sustain a team of seven alumni engagement and advancement communications professionals as well as being an exemplary relationship manager within the College Advancement office and across campus.
