Horizons for Homeless Children
Roxbury, Massachusetts

For over 30 years, Horizons for Homeless Children has been at the forefront of providing services for families experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts. The organization works to help alleviate the trauma and stress of homelessness on both children and their families by providing high-quality early education, vital opportunities for play, support for parents, and crucial advocacy on behalf of some of our most marginalized citizens. With an organizational vision of “Every homeless child will have the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive,” Horizons’ impact is significant, meaningful, and more critical than ever.

The Opportunity

The Assistant Vice President for Development (AVP) will play a crucial role within Horizons for Homeless Children’s development team. Leading a highly productive group of development professionals, the AVP will oversee the strategy, planning, and implementation of a comprehensive giving program, covering annual, major, planned, and principal giving, along with successful signature events.

Diligent communication, leadership, and adaptability are crucial, along with a strong belief in Horizons’ mission and a commitment to utilizing fundraising strategies for impactful change. The ideal candidate will embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion; foster collaboration; uphold integrity; exhibit humor; and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
