The Opportunity

William & Mary seeks a dynamic leader as Assistant/Associate Vice President of Annual Giving and Philanthropic Engagement (AVP) in the Office of University Advancement. The AVP will serve as a senior member of the advancement executive leadership team and contribute to annual goal-setting activities and to the strategic planning for the university’s next campaign.

William & Mary enjoys one of the highest alumni giving participation rates among all public institutions. Building on this foundation, the AVP will oversee a robust and productive annual giving program, including leadership annual giving, direct mail marketing, class and reunion giving, and student and alumni affinity appeals. Driven by data and an attention to detail, they will be instrumental in increasing unrestricted annual support and expanding levels of philanthropic participation among William & Mary’s diverse constituent communities.
