As one of the oldest colleges in the United States, located on a 1,300-acre campus in Virginia’s beautiful Southside, Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) provides a contemporary liberal arts education featuring supportive, yet exacting faculty. The Opportunity

With a landmark $250 million capital campaign on the horizon, Hampden-Sydney College seeks to expand its team with the addition of a Regional Development Officer (RDO) responsible for soliciting major gifts from a dedicated constituency of alumni and friends.

Reporting to the Director for Regional Development, the RDO will be focused primarily on managing a portfolio of donors and prospects in the mid-Atlantic, specifically Richmond, Tidewater, Hampton Roads, and the DMV. The ideal candidate will be a sophisticated fundraiser with a proven track record of closing five- and six-figure gifts or greater.
