Atlanta, Georgia

Emory University is an internationally recognized private research institution known for exceptional liberal arts colleges, top quality graduate and professional schools, as well as a leading healthcare system. The Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center was founded in 1966 and is dedicated to developing new ways to prevent and treat disease, to raising the bar on clinical care outcomes, and to preparing the next generation of health practitioners for communities around the world.

The Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) is composed of schools of medicine, nursing, and public health, as well as a cancer institute, a primate research center and Emory Healthcare, the most comprehensive health system in the state of Georgia. Seventy percent of Emory’s fundraising emanates from contributions to the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, and, with the advent of new leadership and an upcoming capital campaign, the Center is poised to exceed that figure.

The Emory Brain Health Center offers complete, coordinated care including one of the country’s top neurology programs, psychiatry, behavioral sciences, neurosurgery, rehabilitation medicine and sleep medicine. More than 400 researchers and clinicians from different areas work in collaboration to more rapidly predict, prevent, treat, or cure devastating diseases or disorders of the brain.
