The Hebrew University of Jerusalem opened in 1925 and has become Israel’s premier university and leading research institution. The American Friends of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (AFHU) is a U.S.-based nonprofit that provides financial support for the university’s academic, research and service programs. With headquarters in New York, AFHU operates regional offices in the Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, West and Pacific Northwest.
AFHU has embarked on a 2-year campaign goal of $120 million through fiscal year 2019; the Southeast region is responsible for $14.6M.
