Supported by a robust organizational structure, including a 21-member Board of Directors, a dedicated staff of 50, and led by an inspiring and transformative CEO, HGSF has an annual operating budget of $25 million. Its Executive Leadership Team oversees key functions such as construction, real estate, homeowner development, fund development, and communications. Now more than ever, HGSF is poised to expand its impact, with a visionary goal to build 300 new affordable homes in the region over the next decade.
The Opportunity
HGSF is seeking a Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of addressing housing inequities and empowering families in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the MGO will develop and manage relationships with high-capacity donors, fostering meaningful philanthropic support for the organization’s transformative work.
The MGO will manage a robust portfolio of 75 to 100 major donors and prospects, leveraging creativity and strategy to inspire multi-year commitments from high-net-worth individuals and family foundations. With the support of a talented development team, the incoming MGO will help elevate HGSF’s fundraising efforts to new heights, making a direct and lasting impact on the lives of families and communities across the Bay Area.

The salary for this position is $135,000 – $150,000.
