Under the leadership of Vice President for Advancement and External Relations Sam McCrimmon, who joined the team in 2022, the University is expanding the Advancement team in preparation for its upcoming centennial and concurrent campaign in 2026.
The Opportunity
The Advancement team at Mercyhurst seeks a Director of Institutional Giving to manage a portfolio of corporate, foundation, and government prospects and donors. As a member of the Vice President’s Senior Leadership team, the Director will also oversee a newly created position that serves as the critical administrative link for grant processing, pre- and post-award documentation and reporting, and coordination with the Offices of Academic Affairs and Finance. In their capacity as principal liaison with faculty and other campus constituencies, the Director will play a leading role in identifying funding opportunities and ensuring best practices are followed in funding applications and reporting.
The ideal candidate will bring a high level of business acumen and a proven track record of collaborating with faculty, staff, and peers in generating resources and financial support from corporate, foundation, and government partners.
