The Opportunity

Computing and Information Science seeks a creative and collaborative development leader to act as its next Assistant Dean for Development. As Cornell University prepares to enter its next multi-billion-dollar campaign, the Assistant Dean will provide leadership and strategic vision to all aspects of CIS alumni and fundraising activities and play a critical role in developing new outreach and strategies that build on the school’s strong foundation of philanthropic giving. S/He will forge and advance strong relationships with alumni and friends that result in philanthropic contributions to CIS through portfolio management of high capacity major gift prospects. Serving as the Dean’s thought partner and as a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will be an intellectually curious, motivated, broad thinker with a demonstrated ability in securing major gifts.
