The Opportunity

DePauw University seeks an Associate Vice President for Development (AVP-DEV) who will be a strategic partner to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement (VP) and the Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving (AVP-AE/AG), Trustees, faculty, and staff to advance major and principal individual philanthropy. The AVP-Development is a critical member of the Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement’s senior team and will bring a sense of urgency combined with exceptional strategic and organizational acumen to the development team.

The AVP-DEV will grow, lead, and manage the major/principal gifts, family giving, and donor relations areas and implement programs and services to increase fundraising in support of the University’s mission and vision. Working alongside the AVP-AE/AG and the entire DAE team to build philanthropic engagement. DePauw prides itself on providing an exemplary student experience and one that creates a devoted alumni base of support.

The AVP-Development will bring a collaborative and collegial spirit along with direct and considerable experience in major and principal giving. The AVP will manage the major gifts, family giving, and donor relations team and closely partner with the AVP for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving to realize the enormous potential of philanthropy at DePauw.
